Rachel Labrucherie was born in Los Angeles, CA and grew up surrounded by art. Her father was a photographer and photo lab owner. Life was filled with museums, attending exhibitions and creativity. It was clear photography (and collage) would drive her ambitions and passions. She attended The School of the Museum Fine Arts, Boston and soon found her love for travel and life outside of sunny California. During her travels she found beauty in unexpected places. Every year, new cities and countries would feed her desire for exploration and vivid colors. Rachel has traveled the globe with her cameras, thirsty for extraordinary detail and visually arresting images. In the mid 2000’s she moved back to Los Angeles and continued her artist journey. She became the Creative Director for Dennis Hopper; archiving his work and managing his exhibitions in Paris, Los Angeles and Melbourne, Australia. She also curated her own group shows and was part of many exhibitions including The Jewish Federation, Arclight Hollywood and California Heritage Museum. In 2011, she became a mother and is now a mom of three boys! They kept her love for the arts going, by showing her the world in different ways. They supported her passions by being the subjects of countless photoshoots and allowing her to document all of their life’s moments. As they grew, she continued to travel and feed her artistic passion. Rachel currently lives in Sierra Madre, CA with her partner and sons.
